When I asked this guy if I could take a picture of his tattoo, he seemed a bit, “well, uhm, ok, i guess?” which is perfectly understandable since the area in which I took this (Ma Tau Kok, Kowloon, Hong Kong) sees very few white folks walking around taking pictures, especially compared to other, more popular parts of Hong Kong. He works at a local recycling plant, and when I mimed that I wanted to take his picture, he thought I meant that I wanted to take a picture of the equipment behind him. After I explained myself, he let me take a couple of pictures of him. (Press the right arrow button to see the other one.) As I left, his coworkers were teasing him, one of them going so far as to tug on the nipple around which the tattoo is. Incidentally, I took another picture of this guy’s back tattoo a few days ago.

Dude in Kowloon City, Hong Kong rocking a pretty gnarly back tattoo of… a deity? a warrior? if anyone knows for sure, please let me know in the comments. lots of the working class dudes here in Hong Kong have tattoos, often quite large like this one.
